MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative obstetric/surgical team. You will prepare the surgical suite, assist during procedures, and support patient-centered care with on-call flexibility and growth opportunities.

The role emphasizes sterile technique, instrument handling, and teamwork in a high‑volume labor and delivery setting. Certification in surgical technology and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified by the Liaison Council of Certification of the Association of Surgical Technologists.
• Minimum 1 year in a healthcare setting, preferably Labor & Delivery.

Responsabilités

• Prepare the surgical suite and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Provide instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field, perform counts, and ensure instruments and equipment function properly.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduated from accredited school of surgical technology

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Certification by the Liaison Council of Certification of the Association of Surgical Technologists

Healthcare work experience (1 year, preferably Labor and Delivery)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
• Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
• Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
• Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from high school or equivalent program.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support.
• Current certification by the Liaison Council of Certification of the Association of Surgical Technologist required.
• Minimum 1 year in a health care setting preferably in a Labor and Delivery unit.
