Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Colorado Surgical Assistant License or Surgical Technician upon hire unless another Colorado license/scope applies.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile tables with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions.
• Performs counts with the circulator prior to the operation, before incision is closed, and as needed.
• Maintains sterile technique during procedures by checking package integrity and indicators.
• May provide patient care such as vitals, hygiene, transport, and newborn care.
