Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Conyers, GA is seeking an OB Surg Tech to assist in Labor & Delivery. You will handle instruments, supplies and equipment for obstetrical operations and support the surgeon during procedures.

This role requires a Surgical Technologist training program or equivalent, plus BCLS certification. Prior OR experience and patient-care background are valued. Full-time Day shift with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during obstetrical operations in the OR.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a sterile field.
• Perform patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Support obstetrical operating team to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the obstetrical operations performed in the Operating Room located in the Labor and Delivery unit. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Performs patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program Required or
• 1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist Required or
