Job summary

CHOC Children's in Orange, California opens a Special Delivery Unit for OB care in Spring 2026. We seek OB technicians to join a new, innovative team delivering high-risk and standard maternal-fetal services in a collaborative setting.

You will work in the SDU across triage, LDRP suites and ORs, supporting antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care within scope of practice, and contribute to family-centered care with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; graduate of Surgical Technology program or military training.
• Preferred: College coursework with Associate or Bachelor's degree.
• Must be able to relate and communicate in English; work calmly under pressure; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in OR and delivery room as needed within scope of practice.
• Support in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care; participate in fetal procedures as part of SDU.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical team; maintain policies and cleanliness between cases.
