Job summary

CHOC Children’s is opening a Special Delivery Unit in Fall 2026 and seeks scrub techs with L&D experience to join the new team. You will assist in the OR and delivery room, support maternal care across antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods, and participate in groundbreaking fetal intervention procedures.

The role requires BLS certification and may include call shifts. This position emphasizes teamwork within the SDU and CHOC’s family-centered care approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program or military service training.
• College coursework with Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in both operating room and delivery room as needed within scope of practice.
• Support in the care/treatment for maternal population antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum.
• Participate in ground breaking fetal intervention procedures and SDU setup.
