Job summary

Qualifications

• Current State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR training.
• The RN in Ohio must complete twenty-four contact hours of continuing education during licensure.
• Maintains BCLS and other certifications required by the job, e.g., ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patients' plans of care through effective shift-to-shift communication.
• Utilizes infection control techniques to prevent transmission.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and sound judgment in all aspects of care.
• Initiates emergency care when needed.
• Addresses patient/family education needs and discharge planning.
• Follows proper chain of command and maintains patient confidentiality.
