Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Obstetrics Float Pool for Night shift on a full-time basis. The role covers Labor and Delivery, Mother-Baby, and Intermediate Care Nursery with 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts.

You will deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for obstetric patients, coordinate care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe deliveries and high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state where you practice.
• BLS certification (AHA) for Healthcare Providers.
• NRP certification.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Maternal-Baby and/or SCN.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe, therapeutic care per standards and procedures.
• Lead with evidence-based practice and effective communication to maintain a safe patient environment and best experience across the continuum.
