Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible to practice in the state
• BSN degree preferred
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current
• Basic Fetal Monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilizes the chain of command to ensure patient well-being and appropriate care to newborns and mothers during antepartum and postpartum periods.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred

Current and valid state RN license

BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current

NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current

Basic Fetal Monitoring upon hire within 60 days and maintain current
