Moses Lake Community Health Center is seeking an OB Program Nurse to join our multidisciplinary OB care team. This role focuses on coordinating OB patient care, integrating medical and social services, and providing direct patient care and education through in-person and phone visits.

The position emphasizes ensuring patients receive information and resources for pregnancy-related needs. Strong documentation, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or diploma
• Licensed or eligible for RN/LPN in Washington state
• Travel between work sites may be required

Responsibilities

• Oversees integration and coordination of OB clinic patient care plans by the OB team.
• Performs direct clinical care for OB patients within scope of practice.
• Coordinates to ensure patients have information and resources for pregnancy and medical/social needs.
• Ensures complete and up-to-date documentation of care and services.
• Follows quality, safety, and infection control procedures and contributes to improvement efforts.
• Provides excellent service and leadership within the OB team.

Job description

The OB Program Nurse has the primary responsibility for OB patient case management, as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary OB care team. Their role includes integration of the care provided by medical and OB specialized social services, ensuring our OB patients have the necessary care, resources, options and coordination for a healthy pregnancy and birth outcome. They provide direct patient care and education through in-person and phone appointments, follow up on pregnancy and delivery related services and procedures, and serve as a clinical resource to the OB team.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the integration and ongoing coordination of the individual care plan for OB Clinic patients, ensuring that the patient's medical and social support needs are addressed by our OB team.
• Performs direct clinical care for OB patients within scope of practice and serves as a clinical resource for both patients and staff.
• Coordinates to ensure that patients have the information and resources they need for their unique pregnancy, medical and social service needs.
• Ensures that the patient's care is fully documented and up to date to reflect care, services and treatments provided.
• Properly follows quality, safety, and infection control procedures and improvement efforts.
• Provides excellent service and support to patients and colleagues and as a leader within the team.

Requirements

• Job duties require knowledge and training in the field of Nursing typically acquired through a formal Associates degree or trade school program in Nursing.
• Must be able to obtain Registered Nursing or Licensed Practical Nursing licensure with the State of Washington.
• Travel between work sites as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation and provide documentation of auto insurance and valid driver's license as required.
