Qualifications

• PhD in a field related to the classes to be taught; master's degree required.
• Zero to two years’ instructional experience in post-secondary education preferred.
• Experience in Obstetrics and/or Pediatrics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with students.
• Strong time management and detail orientation.
• Computer-based skills including software, analytics, and report writing.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to develop professional rapport with diverse campus constituents.
• Ability to learn from students and demonstrate fair, compassionate conduct.
• Ability to operate within legal and ethical boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Manage the educational process to ensure every student is involved in a positive educational experience.
• Provide instruction aligned with the South University curriculum and teaching style.
• Design and deliver instruction with instructional plans to meet course outcomes.
• Utilize technology in the classroom to support learning.
• Deliver learning-centered instruction and prepare for classes and student success.
• Promote student success with flexible teaching style and schedule.
• Maintain accurate records, submit grades on time, and enforce policies.
• Relate professional/industry experience to learning and trends.
• Participate in faculty development and curriculum tasks.
