Job summary

BB Imaging in College Station, TX seeks an experienced OB/MFM sonographer to join our team. You will perform procedures, review histories, and create reports to support physicians, while mentoring staff and contributing to high-quality patient care.

The role offers full-time opportunities or PRN shifts, relocation support, competitive pay, and benefits. RDMS with OB/GYN specialty and strong communication are essential for success in our sonographer-led organization.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with OB/GYN specialty.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• HIPAA compliance with EMR systems.
• Knowledge of OB/GYN anatomy and medical terminology.
• Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform sonographic procedures.
• Review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history.
• Create reports to assist physicians with documentation.
• Evaluate sonograms for anomalies.
• Communicate findings to physician.
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff.
• Provide guidance for amniocentesis.
• Maintain quality machines and imagery; restock rooms.
• Pursue CMEs to increase knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned by managers.

What You'll Do

• Perform sonographic procedures
• Inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history
• Create reports to assist the physician with documentation
• Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule‑out patient/fetus anomalies
• Communicate sonographic findings to physician
• Assist with training and mentoring new team members
• Provide visual sonographic guidance to complete successful amniocentesis
• Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery
• Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance
• Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs
• Other duties assigned by managers

Is This You?

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an OB/GYN specialty
• Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN specialty
• Knowledge of applied physics related to ultrasound
• Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future

Do You Score Any Bonus Points?

• 1+ years high-risk OB and or MFM sonography experience
• Registered in Fetal Echocardiogram (FE)
• Credentialed in Nuchal Translucency, Nasal Bone, and Cervical Length
• Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study

RISK OF EXPOSURE TO BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS: Category 1 - Tasks involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
