Job summary

BB Imaging in Brownwood is seeking an OB/MFM Sonographer to join our patient-centered, physician-partnered team. You will perform high-quality ultrasound exams, travel to clinic sites, and contribute to maternal-fetal care.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, continued learning, mentorship, and growth within a supportive, sonographer-led environment. RDMS with OB/GYN specialty and 1+ year high-risk OB/MFM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• RDMS with OB/GYN specialty is required or strongly preferred.
• 1+ years high-risk OB or MFM sonography experience.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN.
• HIPAA compliance when using EMR systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform sonographic procedures.
• Travel to clinic sites within your assigned area.
• Inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history.
• Create reports to assist the physician with documentation.
• Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule-out patient/fetus anomalies.
• Communicate sonographic findings to physician.
• Assist with training and mentoring new team members.
• Provide visual sonographic guidance to complete successful amniocentesis.
• Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery.
• Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance.
• Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs.
• Other duties assigned by managers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

IS THIS YOU?

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an OB/GYN specialty
• 1+ years high-risk OB and or MFM sonography experience
• Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN specialty
• Knowledge of applied physics related to ultrasound
• Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future

DO YOU SCORE ANY BONUS POINTS?

• Registered in Fetal Echocardiogram (FE)
• Credentialed in Nuchal Translucency, Nasal Bone, and Cervical Length
• Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study
