Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking an OB Market Scheduler PRN to coordinate and communicate with Perinatal Program Registrars, ensuring efficient scheduling operations and timely processing of requests in Meditech.

You will update guides, manage scheduling blocks, and work across multiple Henrico locations including Forest, Chippenham/Johnson Willis, Meadowbridge and Colonial Heights. 8a-4:30p, Monday to Friday; PRN opportunities with HCA Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Data entry skills and healthcare experience required.
• Medical terminology knowledge is required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate with Perinatal Program Registrars to ensure efficient scheduling operations.
• Process telephoned requests for scheduling in a prompt and timely manner using Meditech.
• Maintain Perinatal Scheduling Guide and Procedure Guide with current changes and update system with released block time by physicians.
• Identify correct patient account numbers/medical record numbers for scheduling procedures.
• Track monthly scheduling department statistics and review phone calls for accuracy of posted procedures.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The OB Market Scheduler PRN will coordinate and communicate with Perinatal Program Registrars to ensure efficient scheduling operations. You will process telephoned requests for scheduling in a prompt and timely manner utilizing a working knowledge and vocabulary of procedures scheduled. Demonstrate the capability to deal with day-to-day changes in schedule with medical office, OB and perinatal staff.

• You will maintain and update the Perinatal Scheduling Guide and Procedure Guide with current changes and additional procedures. Update system with released block time by physicians and groups
• You will interact with OB and market staff/Clinical Coordinators about procedure codes, corrections and physician duration changes. Review future schedules for changes and corrections to Perinatal procedures posted.
• Correctly utilizes the scheduling features of the Meditech system and accurately enters necessary information
• Identify correct patient account numbers/medical record numbers for scheduling procedures and notify
• Process medical records of those needing to be merged. Track monthly scheduling department statistics and review phone calls for accuracy of posted procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Data entry skills and healthcare experience required.
• Medical Terminology knowledge is also required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse is preferred
• Available to work Monday - Friday, 8a - 4:30
• Possess the ability to work in multiple HCA office locations including: Henrico Doctor's - Forest, Chippenham/Johnson Willis, Meadowbridge and Colonial Heights
