Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is hiring an LVN to provide nursing care in a Houston clinic setting. The LVN works under supervision to deliver safe, compassionate care while supporting physicians and other health professionals.

This role involves clerical help, patient education, and coordination of referrals and tests in a busy multi-specialty environment. Strong BLS, computer skills, and documentation compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program.
• Current and valid Texas LVN license.
• BLS through the American Heart Association.
• 6+ months of expereince in a clinical area or successful completion of a KSC LVN Residency program.
• Computer experience.
• Ability to use equipment and related supplies for the assigned clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area under supervision.
• Monitor patient health status and document observations.
• Prepare and assist with examinations, procedures and patient education.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA policies.
• Assist with medication administration and care coordination.
