Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks Licensed Vocational Nurses at varying levels to join our Houston locations. LVNs provide patient care under licensed supervision and gain greater responsibility with experience.

Pay is hourly and based on local labor markets and qualifications. Qualified candidates have LVN licensure in Texas, graduation from an approved LVN program, BLS certification, and 6+ months of clinical experience or completion of the KSC LVN Residency.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program.
• Current and valid Texas LVN license.
• BLS through the American Heart Association.
• 6+ months in a clinical area or completion of a KSC LVN Residency program.
• Computer experience.
• Proven ability to use equipment and related supplies for the assigned clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area under supervision.
• Apply clinical nursing knowledge to ensure safety and comfort of patients.
• Identify priorities and organize care for multiple patients.
• Carry out duties at LVN II/III levels as appropriate.
