AMN Healthcare seeks an Obstetrics Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support in Des Moines, IA. 24-hour in-house shifts run 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with Start ASAP and multiple dates from July through December.

The role focuses on labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies, and complex obstetric cases, requiring BC/BE in OB/GYN and Iowa licensure or IMLC eligibility. Epic is used for documentation, and malpractice insurance and credentialing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required or candidate must be Board Eligible.
• Iowa medical license or IMLC eligibility is required for credentialing.
• Epic EMR experience is preferred for charting and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-hospital obstetric care for labor and delivery patients.
• Manage cesarean deliveries and high-risk obstetric cases.
• Cover 24-hour in-house shifts as a hospitalist in obstetrics.

Obstetrics Hospitalist Physician

StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Call 24;On Call Pay Rate: $169.75 - $183.75

This facility is seeking an Obstetrics Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: 24-hour in-house shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM). Start as soon as possible. Multiple dates July through December.

Practice Setting: Inpatient Obstetrics Hospitalist.

Types of Cases: Labor and delivery, obstetric emergency department, vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, twin deliveries, vaginal birth after cesarean, high-risk obstetrics, maternal transports, unassigned and emergency patients.

Credentialing Timeframe: Based on Iowa licensing and credentialing process.

Electronic Medical Record: Epic.

Certifications Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Licensure Required: Iowa medical license, Interstate Medical Licensure Compact eligibility, or conditional Iowa license.
