Job summary

Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, OR is seeking an Ultrasound Technician for per diem daytime shifts. You will perform ultrasound examinations per physician orders, using advanced equipment and considering patient-specific needs to ensure high-quality imaging.

Required qualifications include ARDMS eligibility, Oregon Sonographer license or temporary license, and BLS certification. New grads must obtain ARDMS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Board eligible for certification at American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer or
• Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer Temporary.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Upon hire: New graduates must be board eligible and obtain certification (ARDMS) within 6 months of hire.
• Upon hire: New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment, taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs.
• Communicate findings to physicians and assist in patient care as needed.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure safety and infection control standards.
• Per diem/day shift duties as required.
