Job summary

South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound at all OB/GYN clinic locations. The role operates with independent initiative under indirect supervision and may rotate between sites as needed.

The US Tech will ensure high-quality imaging, verify orders, and document findings in the EMR, while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA-approved radiology and ultrasonography program.
• ARDMS registration and Mississippi MRT license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification and ability to document in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork and professionalism across SCRMC facilities.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams as requested by providers.
• Verify physician orders, exam requests, and diagnoses for accuracy.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
• Assist providers, staff and patients as needed and participate in quality improvement.
