Job summary

Advocate Health’s North Charlotte OB/GYN department is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and generate high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation.

The role requires RDMS licensure, an OBGYN background is preferred, and Monday–Friday 8a–5p with 40 hours weekly. Sign-on eligibility may apply and opportunities for career advancement are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of Ultrasound Training Program preferred.
• Current license Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required.
• OBGYN experience preferred. Nuchal Translucency and Nasal Bone Imaging certified may be required based on department.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound diagnostic procedures as requested by the physician.
• Produces images for ultrasound diagnosis with independent judgment and initiative.
• Documents tests results and maintains hard copy images.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment and performs preventive maintenance as described in manuals.
• Inspects equipment daily and documents needed repairs.
• Maintains patient records per hospital policy and procedure.
• Orders supplies and maintains inventory.
