Job summary

North Alabama OBGYN Associates, a practice partner of Together Women’s Health, has an immediate full-time Ultrasound Technician opening to join our team. The technician will acquire ultrasound images for medical diagnoses, follow scope and guidelines, and support patient care within our OB/GYN specialty.

The ideal candidate is ARDMS certified with OB/GYN experience and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include patient preparation, data documentation, and contributing to quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified ultrasound program.
• ARDMS certified and in good standing.
• Extensive OB/GYN ultrasound experience.
• Excellent communication skills with patients.

Responsibilities

• Greets all patients courteously and ensures that their needs are met.
• Reviews patient identification and verifies physician order.
• Gains patient cooperation by explaining imaging procedures and equipment, answering questions.
• Reviews images, notes observations, and communicates data to physician.
• Maximizes production and quality of ultrasounds by following established standards.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following procedures.
• Documents patient ultrasound services by completing charting.
• Participates in radiology process-improvement activities (quality of care, patient flow, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.
