Job summary

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Board eligible for certification at American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• Oregon Sonographer license (OR) or Oregon Sonographer temporary license at hire.
• American Heart Association BLS at hire; ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire.
• New graduates must be board eligible and obtain ARDMS within 6 months; OBMI temporary license and permanent license within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound examinations according to physicians' orders, using appropriate ultrasound equipment.
• Considers patient-specific needs (age- or condition-related) when performing imaging.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
