Job summary

OIC is seeking an Ultrasound Sonographer in Rocky Mount, NC to perform diagnostic obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations. You will produce high quality images, document findings, and support patient care across mobile and satellite sites.

The role requires current RDMS in OB/GYN or certification within 12 months, accredited training, and BLS. You will participate in QA activities and ongoing education to maintain standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
• Current RDMS certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology or registry eligible with certification within 12 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations (transabdominal and transvaginal).
• Produce and document high quality diagnostic images and preliminary findings.
• Maintain imaging equipment, records and QA documentation per policy and standards.
• Explain examinations to patients and ensure privacy, comfort and dignity.
• Assist with scheduling, prior authorizations and charge capture as directed.
• Participate in QA, accreditation activities and continuing education.
