Job summary

MAHEC in Asheville, NC seeks a PRN Sonography Specialist I focused on obstetrical and gynecological imaging within a dedicated perinatal and gynecology unit. The role requires ARDMS or ARRT/RDMS certification, a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program diploma, and at least one year of ultrasound experience, preferably in women’s health.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
• Passed OBGYN registry.
• One year of clinical ultrasound experience, with focus in women’s health.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment following safety protocols.
• Perform ultrasound procedures with independent judgement and accuracy.
• Label images and complete preliminary reports; ensure complete records.
• Communicate findings to care providers and coordinate with MFM team.
