Qualifications

• Graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography program accredited by ARDMS or equivalent.
• Current RDMS with OB/GYN specialty; certification obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Two years obstetric and gynecologic imaging experience preferred.
• Strong communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic obstetric ultrasound examinations including dating, anatomy surveys, and growth assessments.
• Perform diagnostic gynecologic ultrasound imaging including transabdominal and transvaginal exams.
• Document preliminary findings and maintain QA records; ensure proper image archiving.
• Explain examinations to patients and maintain privacy and comfort during the study.
• Maintain equipment and participate in infection control and quality assurance activities.
