Job summary

Kitsap OBGYN is seeking an OB/GYN diagnostic medical sonographer to image the female reproductive system and monitor fetal development. You will work closely with obstetricians to detect abnormalities and support prenatal care, ensuring high-quality examinations and clear documentation.

The role requires ARDMS OB/GYN certification or eligibility, strong communication, and the ability to handle sensitive pregnancies with professionalism and compassion.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography or accredited postsecondary certificate program.
• ARDMS OB/GYN certification or eligibility.
• Maintain continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in OB/GYN ultrasound preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fetal development tracking with obstetric scans to evaluate anatomy, gestational age, and growth.
• Gynecological imaging of reproductive organs using transabdominal and transvaginal approaches.
• Guide patients through imaging, explaining processes while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Prepare preliminary reports for OB/GYN physicians with diagnostic-quality findings.
• Review patient histories, answer questions, and ensure patient comfort during procedures.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and perform routine calibration and equipment maintenance.
