Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an ultrasound technologist who independently performs ultrasound examinations, assesses for pathology, and discusses findings with radiologists for diagnostic decisions. The role includes teaching imaging students and maintaining equipment while ensuring patient safety and quality care.

The candidate will handle a variety of ultrasound modalities, collaborate with physicians, and support the OB/GYN Berger department in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 yrs ultrasound training from an accredited program.
• Must have passed ARDMS with abdominal or OB/GYN specialization.
• BLS Certification required.
• Able to evaluate normal vs abnormal results in correlation with patient history.

Responsibilities

• Performs various ultrasound examinations with attention to anatomy and pathology.
• Interprets waveforms and sets equipment for accurate imaging.
• Assists radiologists with invasive procedures when required.
• Provides preliminary ultrasound findings to attending physicians.
• Teaches imaging students and residents in scanning methods.
• Maintains equipment and supply inventory; performs quality control.
