Job summary

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic seeks an OB/GYN Surgery Scheduler to provide clerical support in the OB/GYN department and ensure smooth scheduling of surgeries and pre-/post-op appointments.

The role emphasizes patient-centered service, adherence to MMC policies, HIPAA and OSHA guidelines, and collaboration with physicians, staff, and patients.

Excellent communication, punctuality, and multitasking in a fast-paced office are essential; experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in medical office or scheduling is a plus.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Represent MMC in a courteous and professional manner.
• Greet guests and incoming calls in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner.
• Take accurate messages which include all required information.
• Be at your workstation on time and prepared to start the day.
• Be flexible when asked to stay past your scheduled work time to accommodate patient needs.
• Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information from patients for billing and reimbursement.
• Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate patient service.
• Meet or exceed patient, doctor, and staff expectations through teamwork.
• Keep your work area and the clinic clean.
• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to MMC policies and procedures.
• With instruction, perform other duties as required or assigned
