Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in Texas to manage nursing care for patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures.

The RN will provide professional leadership, assess and plan patient care, and guide nursing staff in accordance with facility policies and philosophy. The role requires interaction with hospital staff and other departments, and may include weekend, holiday, evening, night, or on-call shifts.

Qualifications

  • TX RN license or compact-state license; temporary TX license allowed during waiting period.
  • Associate, Baccalaureate, or Diploma in Nursing; new grads may have permit to practice.
  • BLS certification; maintain current ARC/AHA provider certifications as required.
  • ACLS/NRP certifications as unit requires; timelines per unit policy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing care for patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or procedures.
  • Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care per facility policies and standards.
  • Coordinate with hospital staff and departments to address patient care concerns and resolutions.
  • May work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, or be on-call/call-back status.
