The Registered Nurse (RN) in the OBSTETRICS/GYNECOLOGY unit provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinating with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes. This position is PRN with night shifts, and involves education, safety, and team collaboration for perinatal care.

Responsibilities include medication administration, assessments, documentation, and support during labor and postpartum care.

Formación

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process and policies.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, care plans, and post-discharge needs.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record and participate in audits.
• Educate on pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and newborn care during OB/L&D activities.
