Job summary

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery/Post Partum within Women’s Services for the Night Shift. The RN provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, compassionate labor, delivery, and postpartum support.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, childbirth support, fetal monitoring, education for patients and families, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings for the care team.
• Administers medications and monitors for adverse reactions per protocol.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency and skill level.
• Educates patients and families on care plans, postpartum guidance, and newborn care.
• Monitors fetal well-being and responds to emergencies with the team.
