Job summary

Sutter East Bay Medical Group seeks an Associate Program Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Berkeley, CA. This leadership role combines strategic oversight with a clinical practice, dedicating up to 17 hours monthly to residency leadership and operations.

The APD partners with the Program Director to advance curriculum, accreditation readiness, faculty development, and resident mentorship within a growing, ACGME-accredited program.

Qualifications

• MD or DO medical degree required.
• ABOG or AOBOG board certification or equivalent required.
• Strong interest in medical education and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead program administration and educational leadership for a new, ACGME-accredited residency program.
• Design and evaluate residency curriculum; oversee recruitment and achievement reviews.
• Maintain an active clinical practice with up to 17 hours monthly of protected administrative time.
• Support accreditation reviews, quality improvement, and faculty development.
