Job summary

Sutter East Bay Medical Group in Berkeley seeks an Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Associate Program Director to provide educational and operational leadership for a newly accredited program. The APD will maintain an active clinical practice while shaping curriculum, faculty development, and accreditation readiness.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Board certification in ABOG or AOBOG or equivalent per ACGME.
• Strong interest in medical education and leadership.
• Prior involvement in residency education or leadership preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and mentorship skills.
• Experience as core faculty or program leadership preferred.
• Unrestricted CA license or eligible to practice in CA on hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum development and evaluation for the residency program.
• Support accreditation maintenance and reviews.
• Assist with resident recruitment, interviews, and selection decisions.
• Provide teaching, mentorship, and career guidance to residents.
• Balance clinical duties with administrative and educational responsibilities.
• Collaborate with faculty, CCC, PEC, and GME leadership to improve outcomes.
• Promote scholarship and professional development within the residency.
