Job summary

VPFW is hiring a full-time Provider Medical Assistant to join our clinical department and float across office locations. You will work side-by-side with physicians to provide nursing functions for OB/GYN patient appointments and procedures.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of clinical experience (OB/GYN or primary care preferred), and the ability to obtain Medical Assistant Certification within 12 months. Travel across multiple sites is expected.

Responsibilities

• Interview new patients and record patient information.
• Assist with patient exams and procedures.
• Request diagnostic testing and communicate results to patient in a timely manner.
• Stock and clean exam rooms.
• Ensure all required written forms, computer documentation, and patient medical records are completed in a timely manner.
• Administer injections and medications.
• Coordinate prescription orders with pharmacy and patient.
