Job summary

The TTUHSC School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, seeks a qualified OB/GYN to join its West Texas team. You’ll provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care across shifts, participate in labor and delivery, and train residents.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited OB/Gyn Residency.
• Ability to obtain Texas Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Work a shift based schedule providing inpatient care.
• Manage patients admitted to the labor and delivery unit.
• Evaluate and treat patients in OB triage and the emergency department.
• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Respond to acute obstetrics emergencies and emergency surgical procedures.
• Manage postpartum floor care and complication.
• Participate in quality improvement, continuing education and patient care programs established by the hospital(s).
• Participate in the education and training of medical students and residents.
