The role supports inpatient labor and delivery, collaborates with a robust Obstetrics and Gynecology department, and contributes to medical student and resident education.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• ACGME OB/Gyn residency completion or in progress.
• Texas medical license eligibility.
• Foreign medical graduates: ECFMG certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work a shift-based schedule in inpatient labor and delivery.
• Manage patients admitted to the labor and delivery unit.
• Evaluate OB triage and ED patients and manage deliveries.
• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and emergency surgical procedures.
• Manage postpartum floor care and complications.
• Educate medical students and residents.
