Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in Odessa invites applications for an Asst/Assoc/Full Professor, Obstetrics & Gynecology - Laborist. The department provides comprehensive obstetric care, including high-risk pregnancy services, with a focus on education and patient-centered care across the Permian Basin.

The position involves shift-based inpatient obstetric care, supervision of residents, and active participation in quality improvement and clinical education.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited ACGME OB/Gyn residency.
• Ability to obtain a Texas license;
• Foreign Medical Graduates: ECFMG certification or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Work a shift-based schedule providing inpatient labor and delivery care.
• Manage patients admitted to the labor and delivery unit.
• Evaluate and treat patients in OB triage and the emergency department.
• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and urgent surgical cases.
• Oversee postpartum care and complications.
• Contribute to education and training of medical students and residents.
