Job summary

Avera Spencer Clinic in Iowa is seeking a qualified physician to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a defined practice area.

The role requires a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy licensed in the state, with DEA licensing. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintaining patient records and collaborating on referrals while delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO licensed and board-certified/board-eligible in the state of practice.
• Federal DEA license required upon hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients per approved protocol and standards of practice.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interprets diagnostic information and formulates a care plan.
• Maintains patient records accurately and coordinates with care team.

Education

Medical Doctor - Board of Medicine licensed

Doctor of Osteopathy - Board of Medicine licensed
