Job summary

Avera Health's Obstetrics & Gynecology department in Aberdeen, SD seeks a physician to provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, and care for patients within obstetrics and gynecology. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and education to patients and families.

The ideal candidate will be board-eligible or board-certified, hold an active medical license in the state of practice, and possess or obtain a DEA license.

Qualifications

• MD or DO must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of service; board certification or eligibility.
• DEA license required for practice in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients per approved protocols.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; interpret data to plan care.
• Maintain patient records and coordinate referrals with care team.
• Uphold safety, confidentiality, and CMS/Joint Commission standards.
