Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our OB/GYN team and deliver high-quality general OB/GYN care in a clinical environment. This position operates Monday–Friday, day shift with no call, and the APP will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members within Emory's integrated academic health system.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing is required.
• Current RN licensure in Georgia is required or a temporary permit to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Certification by the American College of Nurse Midwives is required.
• BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Manages antepartal, intrapartal, postpartal, and interconceptional care of patients with normal progress.
• Oversees immediate care of mothers and newborns and may provide direct nursing care.
• Promotes effectiveness and efficiency of Nurse-Midwifery Services and collaborates with other care team members.
• Interacts with care team to determine patient care priorities when establishing a care plan.
• Uses resources to clarify standards of care, policies, and procedures.
• Supports clinical research activities pertaining to Nurse Midwifery Services.
• May provide clinical instruction and supervision in basic nurse-midwifery courses.
• Reviews patient history and orders to determine a care plan.
• Develops a patient care plan with clear, measurable goals.

Education

Master's degree in nursing

RN licensure in Georgia

Certification by American College of Nurse Midwives

BLS/Healthcare Provider certifications
