Job summary

Duke Health’s Harris & Smith OB-GYN in Durham, NC seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA/Certified Midwife) to deliver direct obstetric and gynecologic care. The APP will collaborate with physicians and other APPs, perform patient assessments, order labs, and contribute to patient education.

The role supports obstetric and postpartum care, with hours typically Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and potential extended hours or weekend coverage based on clinical needs.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioners require a Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Physician Assistants require a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s is strongly preferred.
• BLS certification is required; NC licensure for NP/PA and DEA license are required.

Responsibilities

• Obstetric and postpartum care including obstetric exams and plan of care.
• Gynecological care including routine Well Woman exams and Pap smears.
• Patient education on pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum care.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other APPs, order labs and interpret results.
