Job summary

Wake Forest Health Network in High Point seeks a Medical Assistant to support Obstetrics/Gynecology clinics. The role involves preparing patients, taking vital signs, and assisting clinicians with exams and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, BLS, and 1 year of experience preferred. This on-site position offers full-time hours and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, Windows navigation, and email usage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room the patient for exam; obtain vital signs and update health information.
• Assist with procedures such as pelvic exams, allergy testing, and minor surgeries.
• Administer routine medications under physician orders or standing orders.Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments; ensure smooth clinic flow.
