Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant at Wake Forest Health Network in High Point. The role supports obstetrics/gynecology services, rooms patients, collects vitals, and assists clinicians with procedures in a busy outpatient setting.

Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and a current MA certification. BLS is required, with a 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, and a sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification from listed certifying bodies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exam; collect vital signs and health information.
• Perform lab procedures following aseptic technique and guidelines.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as pelvic exams and testing.
• Administer routine medications under orders or standing protocols.
• Coordinate referrals and ensure smooth clinic flow.
