Graduation from a Medical Assistant program is required; CPR certification is preferred; TB Education certification is preferred. This role supports diverse patient populations in a busy hospital setting.

Qualificações

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant education program is required.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification is preferred).
• Current TB Education certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Proactively contributes to Eskenazi's mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on Marion County's vulnerable populations.
• Maintains a safe patient/clinic environment; follows Eskenazi safety standards.
• Demonstrates effective communication using appropriate medical terminology.
• Provides patient care appropriate to patient age and needs.
• Interprets and records vital signs, pain assessments, and other measurements.
• Assists with exams and minor procedures; prepares patients for examinations.
• Collects and processes lab specimens; performs point-of-care testing.
• Schedules appointments and maintains supplies and equipment.
