Eskenazi Health seeks a Medical Assistant II at the West 38th Street OB/GYN Service in Indianapolis, IN. The role supports patient care across age groups, prepares patients for exams, and assists providers with procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include vitals, specimen collection, and maintaining a safe environment. Requires a HS diploma; 2 years of experience preferred; CPR certification preferred. May travel for coverage within the health center network.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required and 2 years of experience required.
• Graduation from an education program for the medical assistant preferred.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR preferred).
• Current TB Education certification preferred.
• Primary care coverage may require travel to other health center locations.

• Maintains a safe patient/clinic environment per Eskenazi Health safety standards.
• Demonstrates communication using medical terminology.
• Interacts with patients and documents history and chief complaints.
• Measurers and records vital signs, heights, weights, and pain assessments.
• Prepares patients for examinations and assists with exams and minor procedures.
• Collects and processes lab specimens including phlebotomy.
• Documents findings and education provided; maintains clinic flow and supports team.
