Eskenazi Health is seeking a Medical Assistant I for the Eskenazi Health Center Pecar in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on patient care across age groups within a busy primary care setting, supporting physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, conducting routine screenings, lab work, and medication administration under provider orders, with emphasis on safety and compassionate care for diverse populations.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Graduation from an education program for the medical assistant preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant required.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification preferred).
• Current TB Education certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains a safe patient/clinic environment; follows safety standards.
• Demonstrates good communication using medical terminology.
• Provides patient care considering age, needs, and progress toward goals.
• Interviews patient and records history and findings.
• Prepares patients for examinations and performs routine screenings including EKGs.
• Assists provider with exams and minor procedures.
• Collects and processes lab specimens including phlebotomy.
• Performs point-of-care testing and documents results.
• Administers medications with provider written order.
• Maintains accurate documentation and clinic operations.
