Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of medical terminology experience is required.
• Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard is required.
• Experience in clinical pharmacology is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification or EMT is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the clinical environment clean, stocked and ready for patient care.
• Performs phlebotomy and prepares specimens for lab transport.
• Takes vital signs and prepares patients for procedures.
• Assists with patient flow and supports physicians and staff.
• Answers phones, makes appointments, collects co-pays and payments, and assists with billing.
• Adds information to the electronic medical record.
