Job summary

Women’s Care, founded in 1998, is a leading women’s healthcare group with 100+ locations and 400+ OB/GYNs and specialists. We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to prepare patients, assist clinicians, restock exam and procedure areas, and document medical histories and vital signs in a fast-paced clinic.

The candidate will perform phlebotomy and injections where needed, educate patients per provider guidance, and ensure HIPAA compliance while maintaining a professional and courteous

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • (FL Only) MA certification preferred OR ability to obtain it within 120 days.
  • Graduate of a nationally accredited MA program OR Armed Forces Medical Technician with honorable discharge.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred OR ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care a plus.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections, if applicable.
  • Ability to perform dosage calculations and conversions.
  • Professional communication with internal and external personnel and patients.
  • Good organizational skills and multitasking ability.
  • Proficient computer use and EMR data entry, preferably eCW.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment and procedures.
  • Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, labs, and patient care areas.
  • Record medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaints.
  • Measure, record, and document vital signs.
  • Perform phlebotomy and injections as directed when applicable.
  • Educate patients with information and instructions from the provider.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant work environment and HIPAA adherence.
  • Sterilize instruments and relay messages between patients and providers.
  • Represent the office professionally and participate in team activities.
  • Attend required meetings and support ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrate Women’s Care mission and core values.
