Job summary

Women’s Care seeks a Medical Assistant to support OB/GYN services, preparing patients, assisting providers, and maintaining clean, compliant exam and procedure areas. You will document medical histories, vital signs, and specimen collection as directed by clinicians.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; MA certification is preferred or obtainable within 120 days. CPR/BLS is preferred or obtainable within 30 days. Experience in OB/GYN or primary care is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred or able to obtain certification within 120 days of employment.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment and testing.
• Restock and sterilize examination/procedure rooms and lab areas.
• Record patient medical history, health maintenance and chief complaint.
• Measure, record and document vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and injections when directed.
• Educate patients with information and instructions as directed by the provider.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment and adhere to HIPAA.
