Ohio State University Physicians is hiring Medical Assistants for our extensive outpatient network. You will support direct patient care and join a collaborative team dedicated to excellence and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, plus one of the listed options.
• Diploma from a Medical Assistant Program.
• Minimum of 1 year medical assisting experience.
• Military Medic training may apply.
• EMT-P (Paramedic) training may apply.
• Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, BP, pulse, respiration).
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments; assist with procedures as ordered by physician.
• Assist in examinations and carry out treatments and tests as needed.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
• Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine lab tests.
