Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following: Medical Assistant Diploma, 1 year of medical assisting experience, Military Medic training, EMT-P training, or equivalent combination.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, record vitals (height, weight, temperature, BP, pulse, respiration).
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures; assist with procedures as ordered.
• May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare treatment rooms for patients.
• Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine lab tests.
